Burundi Annual Conference sets strategy against Covid spreading

From Saturday 25 up to 26 September, 2021, the Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church, Burundi Annual Conference, The Right Honourable Reverend Doctor Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA paid a two day’s visit to Ruyigi Province where he accomplished various activities.

Yesterday, he officially handed, on behalf of the UMC Burundi Annual Conference, the sum of 4,800,000 Burundian francs to the Government Representative as a church contribution to the construction of the governor’s office. The late sum was collected by members of UMC from Ruyigi province in the framework of supporting that project of the government of Burundi.

This Sunday, Rt. Hon.Rev.Dr.Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA was afterward in Kinyinya district to introduce Rev JAPHET NDERIBICURO appointed by Bishop Daniel WANDABULA during the Annual Conference as the new Superintendent of that area. In his speech, he indicated that members of UMC, in Burundi Annual Conference should play a key role in maintaining social cohesion without forgetting in fighting covid-19 pandemic.

He also lunched the distribution of masks to limit the Covid spreading and the same distribution was done in all the parishes located in Economic City Hall of Bujumbura-Burundi.
