During the next 5 years, the UMC/BAC will prioritize investments in the following core areas of Christian social work.
- Improved food security and family resilience – the first step towards assisting our church members and host communities to improve their wellbeing is to ensure they produce enough food to feed their families and generate a marketable surplus to enable them improve their household incomes, purchasing power and choices.
- Improved health and nutrition status of church members and host communities – In order to achieve durable improvements in health, poor and vulnerable populations must be supported to improve their food security and access to basic social services.
- Improved access to quality education and learning outcomes
