The Rt. HON. REV. DR. EMMANUEL SINZOHAGERA OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE U.M.C-HEALTH CENTER AT GAHAMBWE IN RUYIGI PROVINCE.

On Saturday, November 5, 2022, the Rt. Hon. Rev. Dr.  Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA the Speaker of Burundi Senate and Legal Representative of the United Methodist Church in Burundi participated in community work with other local leaders of  RUYIGI province, church leaders at conference level, church members of Gahambwe Parish, NYABITSINDA community in  RUYIGI province  with the aim of  lunching the building of Gahambwe health center located in remote area where there is no other health center nearby.

The community work was also attended by various important leaders including, the second Vice President of Burundi Senate, members of parliament elected in Ruyigi province, governor of Ruyigi province, all communal administrators of RUYIGI province and other different leaders.

In their messages given by various leaders, they thanked the church for the work it is doing to help the government in the health sector and asked citizens to support the construction of Gahambwe health center spiritually and physically.

The Rt. Honorable  informed that despite the fact that the health center is being built in church compound, it will receive all citizens and they will have the right to enjoy all services provided by the health center.

 He said, “The  caring Government led by His Excellency the  Head of State Major General Evarist NDAYISHIMIYE decided that each commune should have at least one hospital, so to have a health center  serving in this area is an indication that we are on the right plan to support the president’s program”. “And when we  consider the desire of the President’s First Lady Her Excellency NDAYISHIMIYE Angeline to have enrich food standard and better materinity in rural areas,  the health center will help to provide timely and better training to citizens especially women in NYABITSINDA commune  and neighboring villages”. He added.

After  community work, people who were there attended the church service and the sermon was given by the Rt. Hon. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA, where the word of God was read from 1 Corinthians 16:13.

The Rt. Honorable Rev. Emmanuel SINZOHAGERA informed believers present that the project of GAHAMBWE health center construction was discussed and approved during the last 2022 Annual Conference session. He said “I AM HERE TO FULLFILL WHAT THE SESSION DECIDED” He added, “WHEN WE ARE TOGETHER EVERTHING IS POSSIBLE”.

The Rt. Honorable advised believers to be strong in their faith because when they are strong in faith they will not be shaken by anyone.

He said “For a strong believer there are some of things that he cannot be afraid of”.   “There will be challenges especially for leaders but be strong in faith and you will witness victory in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”. He concluded.

It should be noted that Saturday service  was attended by four district superintendents from Nyamutetema-Gisuru district, Kinyinya district , Ruyigi center district  , Giharo district, conference lay leader Theodore MBAZUMUTIMA, Chairperson of the Board of Ordained Ministry Rev. Claude NTAKARUTIMANA, chairperson of health care Dr. Aloys NYABENDA,   GBGM representive in Burundi missionary Patrick Abro and other guests of honor.
